Changes in health status, increasing difficulty with daily tasks, or feelings of loneliness and isolation are common indicators. An elderly care home provides a solution by offering round-the-clock supervision, support with daily activities, and opportunities for social interaction. Stay of family members, within premises, is not encouraged for the resident’s own welfare. It may be a cause for concern because seniors with dementia often take time to readjust after a night stay by a family member. The stay might also disturb the routine of your loved one and other residents.

Yes, of course. We encourage personalization with resident's furnishings, artifacts, and picture frames. We accept special pieces of furniture that the residents are emotionally attached to, if they can be accommodated.

We have all emergency protocols in place including medical, fire, and fall. The team is well equipped to manage emergencies.

We have an open-door policy. Family members can visit during regular hours. However, we recommend that family members observe instead of actively participating in routine activities. This allows caregivers to build their rapport with the residents. Prior scheduling is appreciated to cause minimum disruption of the resident’s healthy routine.

The cost of assisted living varies based on location, the type of facility, services offered, and the level of care required. Costs can range from a few thousand dollars per month to several thousand, depending on various factors.

Assisted living benefits individuals who:

  • Need assistance with daily activities like bathing, dressing, or medication management.
  • Seek a social environment with peers.
  • Require a safer living environment with 24-hour support.
  • Want a balance of independence and care.
  • Need regular medical monitoring but not intensive medical care.

There's no specific "best age" for assisted living. The decision is based more on an individual's health, mobility, and care needs rather than age. Many residents move into assisted living in their 70s or 80s, but it varies based on personal circumstances.

The duration people spend in assisted living varies widely based on individual health and care needs. On average, residents may stay in assisted living for 2 to 3 years. Some may transition to higher levels of care, like nursing homes, while others may remain longer if their needs are adequately met.

A senior living facility is a residential community designed specifically for older adults who may not require intensive medical care but need assistance with daily activities, seek social interaction, or want a maintenance-free lifestyle. These facilities can range from independent living communities to assisted living or nursing homes, depending on the level of care provided.

The support an elderly person may require includes:

  • Physical Care: Assistance with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and mobility.
  • Medical Care: Regular check-ups, medication management, and specialized treatments.
  • Nutritional Support: Balanced meals and dietary monitoring.
  • Emotional Support: Companionship, counseling, and mental well-being activities.
  • Social Interaction: Group activities, outings, and social events.
  • Safety Measures: Fall prevention, emergency response systems, and safe living environments.
  • Transportation: Assistance with getting to appointments or outings.
  • Financial Management: Help with managing finances, bills, and insurance.
